Frequently asked questions.

If your question isn't here, call us — admissions answer in office hours.

Do I need a science or data background to apply?
No. MDAE welcomes students from commerce, engineering, management, psychology, mass media, chemistry, and other diverse fields. You do need to demonstrate basic proficiency in Mathematics and Statistics, and the Foundation course will bring you up to speed.
What is the eligibility for the PG Diploma in Data Science & Finance?
A bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
Why should I do a full-time course and not a part-time analytics course?
Part-time courses teach you how to use tools. MDAE's full-time course teaches you how to build your own models and deep learning software. A full-time course also gives you a real peer network, mentors, and lifelong skills like presentation and public speaking that are critical for corporate success.
How is this course different from other Data Science courses?
It is India's only PG Diploma at the intersection of Data Analytics and Finance, with roughly one-third of the course focused on finance domain knowledge. Financial services and fintech are the largest consumers of data scientists, so this combination opens up premium roles that a pure data science course cannot.
Does this qualify as the 16th year of education for foreign universities?
Yes. Alumni have secured admissions into Harvard, Georgetown, Chicago, Rotman, Boston, Oxford, LSE, and many others for Master's, MBA, and Ph.D. programs over the past 5 years.
Can I be exempted from the entrance test?
Yes. CUET, GMAT, GRE, CAT etc results accepted
What scholarships are available?
Merit-based scholarships of up to 50% fee waiver are available, decided post interview. Details on the Fees section.
What is the fee, and are EMI options available?
Tuition fee is Rs. 6,25,000 plus GST. EMI options are available through MDAE's banking and fintech partners. Contact the admissions team on +91 70459 99326 for details.
Does MDAE assist with accommodation?
Yes. MDAE provides students with a verified list of brokers who help in finding private accommodation in the vicinity of the campus.
